Innovation

When developing products and techniques, we aim for properties that minimise the environmental impact of our products and use Life Cycle Analysis to evaluate products in terms of their entire lifecycle.

A Big Idea
Attends has a big idea that we think we will provide a break-through in how we and our customers manage incontinence and the associated costs for products and logistics whilst helping to reduce the environmental footprint. The Soft range launched in 2009 has considerably environmental benefits with 75% less trim, 16% less oil-derived raw materials and 43% wood-derived raw materials compared with the equivalent traditional products. Most importantly, the smaller pads of Attends Soft have been proved in a recent clinical research* to give the same level of protection as the traditional shaped pads, thereby improving the comfort of users while reducing the environmental impact of usage.

Continuous Improvement
Attends work continuously to reduce the weight and volume through the increased use of super absorbents / reduced use of paper, use of thinner material, and efficient assembly of products without glue.

A good example which shows the development over the past decade is the Attends Cover-Dri which is 34% lighter than the old version.
